The Llyn Acoustic Guitar Festival
Held in Liandbedrog, North Wales, this festival opens on 4 October 2013 and runs for two days. Celebrating the rich cultural history of Brazil, this festival takes place from 4 to 6 October at Snape Maltings in Suffolk. An enticing blend of literary, musical, and artistic contributions from or inspired by Brazil, the headlining attractions include Adrianna Calcanhotto, Paula Morelenbaum, Ian McEwan, Arthur Netrovski and many others. Metal Wave UK
Take a day to immerse your senses in the classic heavy metal stylings of the 1970s and 80s at this event. This festival takes place on 5 October at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet and offers a day full of appreciation for the deep roots of classic metal to fans of all experience levels. Enjoy performances by Deep Machine, Cloven Hoof, Preying Mantis, Dennis Stratton the Maiden Years, and Chariot.
Blackpool Music Festival
Running from 10 to 13 October, this enormous festival will feature over 100 acts from Blackpool and surrounding area. This is truly an event with a community spirit that focuses on encouraging young, local musicians to perfect their craft, and also supports the arts scene of the area. No single genre of music is championed, and everyone is certain to find something to fill every moment of the festival with enjoyment. The nature of the city festival means that patronizing local eateries is an integral part of the experience, none of which should be missed.
Pop diva Jessie J really gets autumn all fired up with her rescheduled nineteen date tour entitled Alive. The “Do it like a Dude” singer is playing across the UK and kicks off her tour on 15 October at The Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Use a reputable ticket outlet for your Jessie J tickets, which are also available for performances in Birmingham, Nottingham and London (as well as many other cities) before finishing up in Cardiff on 11 November.
No ska enthusiast should miss this event, held from 18 to 21 October in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk at the Vauxhall Holiday Park. Featured acts include Neville Staple, Susan Cadogan, Lambrettas, From the Jam, Dualers, Goldmaster Allstars, and Dave Barker, with many more to perform. The festival will include prize drawings, activities, and plenty of casual snacks. Come enjoy this weekend filled with mod, ska, reggae and northern soul.
This is the first RoxFest, a weekend of Horror-themed delight and alternative musical talent aimed specifically to assist new acts to the genre in attaining greater recognition. Held in Pendle Hill the weekend of October 25th-27th, the festival will feature Halloween treats, great new music, and spooky excitement for all. Headline acts include Incassium, Fire in the Empire, Slick Cupid, Joe Symes and the Loving Kind, Cyanide Girls, Smitten Kitten, Exit State, Falling Red, Debrasco and many more.
Halloween Masked Ball
Come to Cornwall for this unique and expansive Halloween experience.
