An important update for all travellers to Turkey this spring onwards – from 11 April 2014 the entry visa system will be completely replaced by an e-visa application process.
Travellers will have to apply for a visa online or risk being refused entry to Turkey. The traditional stamp / sticker system will no longer be valid. The new style visa will have to be purchased via the Turkish Government website before travelling.
This is especially pertinent to independent travellers who are not booking through a travel agent.
