Hong Kong may be small in size but it is gigantic in its cuisines! And in order to celebrate the sheer diversity of food on offer, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) have just officially launched their “Hong Kong Food and Wine Year”.
From now until March 2010, the HKTB with around 2,000 restaurants, popular tourist attractions and more than 25 renowned local gourmets will all spread the food message. The aim is to reinforce the message that Hong Kong is a culinary capital of the world.
During the next two months more than 1,000 Hong Kong restaurants will feature special promotions such as complimentary dishes and drinks, buy-one get-one free and half price discount offers.
You’re always guaranteed a top-quality meal wherever you dine in Kong Kong and some of the local delicacies include whole roast duck, dim-sum, congee, abalone and of course the world-famous Cantonese cuisine.
