How’s this for an awesome idea? If you find yourself stuck in THE traffic jam from hell (think weeks rather than hours) now you can dial a driver to stand in for you!
Yes that’s right, simply call up the service and they’ll send out 2 guys on a motorbike; one will sit in your car and ride out the jam for you and the other will whisk you to your destination on the bike – genius!
China has some of the worst traffic jams in the world (I’ve travelled around China and can confirm this first-hand!) and with 1.3 billion people, it’s no great surprise! But what is alarming is that the jams have been known to last for weeks – in August 2010 traffic queued for 100km on the Beijing-Tibet Expressway for over 10 days!
