The Czech Republic is a, beautiful country to visit and that is during any season. Winter is popular for the Christmas markets but summer can be a brilliant time of year to visit.

It might be difficult to see the whole Country without knowing a bit of the local language first. Learning from a Czech teacher online from websites such as Preply will get you well prepared for exploring this charming place.

Exploring this popular destination should be at the top of your list, and here are eight reasons why you should check out the Czech Republic this summer.

  1. To explore ancient castles

The country is dotted with beautiful historic castles just waiting for you to explore. Of course, there is Prague castle and the close by Karlstejn. However further afield thereโ€™s Cesky krumlov, Orlik or Hluboka nad Vltavou. So much interesting history and marvellous architecture for you to discover.

  1. To quench your thirst with local beers

There are so many delicious beer options in the Czech Republic, with countless microbreweries serving their very own creations. Pilsen is the home of the famous Pilsner Urquell where you can take beer tours and sample some of the best beers for yourself.

  1. To try some outdoor activities

With amazing scenic mountainous landscapes, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in this country. River rafting, hiking and sailing on lakes can all be enjoyed here in the countryside. It doesnโ€™t have to cost a lot either, free things to do are easy to find. If you like an active holiday, then youโ€™ll love the outdoor adventures here.

Karlovy Vary in West Bohemia is the perfect spa town location. The spa pools are so relaxing and the various mineral waters fresh and with distinctive tastes. The Lipno Dam area is known for its expansive lakes within the Sumava mountain range. These peaks may not be high but you can enjoy some great hikes and pretty scenery. There are lots of water activities you can take part in too. Including yachting, windsurfing and of course swimming, especially perfect for families on warm summer days.

  1. To walk along the mountainside

There are some tremendous walks and trails to follow in the mountainside here. If you like to hike, then youโ€™ll find some great options. Find the tallest mountain in the country in the Krkonose range where the views are spectacular. Explore this region and find out why it is called the Czech paradise for walkers.

  1. To enjoy summer in Prague

Prague is a destination on most peopleโ€™s lists and known as one of the top places to visit in Spring too. Explore the cobbled streets, drink excellent beer and try hearty food whist sitting in picturesque squares and marvel at the amazing architecture. A city break in Prague will make you fall in love with this country.
