Just because you are travelling on a budget, it does not mean that you have to settle for less when it comes to holiday destinations. There are many affordable places where you can go have fun and let loose without spending all your money.

The United States has plenty of vacation spots that offer the relaxation, recreation and accommodation you need without breaking the bank. Here are some of these destinations.

  • Yosemite National Park.

Although the US is home to numerous national parks, few can match the unspoiled beauty of Yosemite. The entrance fee will grant you access to breathtaking scenery, several natural attractions, extensive hiking trails and low-cost camping areas.

  • Seattle, Washington.

This charming city brims with compelling sights, fascinating neighbourhoods and affordable restaurants and hotels. Whether you decide to explore the historic buildings on Pioneer Square, peruse the wares on sale at Pike Place Market or spend the day hiking the trails in the Olympic Mountains, you are bound to have a wonderful time. The Olympic Mountains are also a fantastic destination for skiing and snowshoeing.

Other attractions worth visiting in Seattle include the Discovery Park, Museum of Flight, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum, Mount Si and the Olympic Sculpture Park.
