Day 01. ARRIVAL AND KRANJSKA GORA - Arrival to one of airports: Ljubljana / Trieste / Klagenfurt / Graz (or Bus Arrival). At the airport meeting with the agency representative, followed by bus transfer to one of hotels in Kranjska Gora, which is known as Slovenia's biggest Alpine resort.
Day 02. BLED AND BOHINJ - After breakfast, meeting with the guide at 8:00. 45 minutes drive to the Bled, one of the most beautiful and famous places in Slovenia. Transfer by the traditional Pletna boat to the island and entrance into the St. Mary church. Then panoramic bus drive around the lake to the Bled castle. In the castle we will take a look into the castle museum, chapel, wine cellar and beautiful panorama to Triglav, the Slovenian highest mountain and the national symbol. Lunch in one of the Bled‘s restaurants. After lunch we will drive towards Bohinj, the Slovenian biggest lake and the jewel of the Triglav national park. Short hiking at the lake shore, and panoramic drive to the gondola of Vogel. We will take the gondola and climb with it up to 1500 meters height to the Julijan Alps. Site seeing of the spectacular panorama of the Triglav southern walls. Then follows drive back to hotel. Dinner.
Day 03. VRŠIČ, TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK, SOČA AND IDRIJA WITH MERCURY MINE - After breakfast at 7:30, meeting with the guide. Drive into the Julian Alps to Vršič, the highest Slovenian mountain pass (1600 meters). Stop at the pass and short walk to the nearby hill to see the Ajdovska deklica – face of a girl which was engraved by natural forces into the one of the vertical mountain walls. After that we will drive to the Trenta valley to see Soča river, one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe, famous for its unforgettable emerald color and fish, endemic Soča trout. Short stop in Bovec, the centre of the region. This region was in 2008 also acknowledged: 1. place of Tourist excellency destination in Europe. Because of the beauty of the landscape also a lot of movies were shot here. Drive to the one of the local restaurants and lunch. After lunch drive to Idria, the mining center. Underneath the town lays second largest mercury mine in the world. Short site seeing of the old town centre and guided tour into the mines with a local guide. Then drive to one of the nearby hotels.
Day 04. SLOVENIAN COAST - We will continue our trip hotel breakfast at 7:30 with the guide and drive towards Koper, the biggest city of the 46 km long Slovenian coast. Site seeing of the old city centre and lunch. Then drive towards Piranske soline – salt fields, world famous attraction, where special form of salt called Salt blossom is produced. After the visit, short stop in Portorož, the biggest Tourist town at the Slovenian coast. Drive back to the hotel in Koper.
Day 05. POSTOJNA CAVE AND LJUBLJANA - After breakfast at 8:30, meeting with the guide. One hour drive towards Postojna. There we will visit most visited cave in the world Postojna Cave, famous also for its fairness. After visit drive towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Lunch and site seeing of the old town centre. We will enter into St. Nicholas Cathedral, Town Hall and take a look of the open market, Dragon bridge and three bridges. With funicular we will enter into the Ljubljana castle, which is situated above Ljubljana. Free time in town center and drive to the one of the Ljubljana hotels.
Day 06. LJUBLJANA MOOR AND TURJAK CASTLE - After breakfast at 8:00, meeting with the guide. Drive towards Ljubljana. South from Ljubljana lies European most southern moor, highly protected area in European scale and famous for its unspoiled natural habitat for rare species of birds. Hiking with the guide along one of the educational paths. Then drive towards Turjak. Lunch at the one of the Turjak surrounding restaurants. After lunch site seeing of the typical Slovenian mountainous village named Gradež, where we will enter into the fruit drying factory from 1930, today transferred into living museum. After that, walk to the Turjak Castle. This is highly fortified castle and famous all over Europe. It was home of legendary Ausperg family, family who won historic first European battle against Ottoman Turks in 15th Century. Presentations of the medieval life in front of the castle and guided tour in the castle. After sightseeing drive back to the hotel in Ljubljana.
Day 07. LOGARSKA WALLEY AND ŽIČKA KARTUZIJA MONASTERY - After breakfast meeting with the guide. Bus drive towards Štajerska province, which is Slovenian center of hops production. Drive north towards the Kamniško-Savinian Alps into the one of the most beautiful alpine valleys in whole European Alps. Panoramic drive and hiking with the guide. After site seeing lunch in one of the nearby restaurants. Then we will drive to the Žička Kartuzija monastery. There are the magnificent ruins of the large medieval age monastery, which was one of the most important catholic European monasteries in the 12th Century. Hiking among the ruins with the guide. Drive to the hotel in Maribor. Dinner.
Day 08. MARIBOR AND PTUJ - After breakfast meeting with the guide. Site seeing of the Slovenian second biggest city Maribor. Then drive through the one of the most beautiful medieval old towns in Slovenija Ptuj. Ptuj was established by Romans and in 12. Century it got the majestic castle. After lunch site seeing of the old town centre and castle. Then drive back to the hotel in Maribor.
Day 09. DEPARTURE - After hotel breakfast departure to the one of the airports.
