Day 01. Tashkent Arrival to Tashkent, meeting in the airport with the sign of Uzbekistan tour operator . Journey starts from the capital of Uzbekistan, from warm and “city of bread” Tashkent. Short city tour in Tashkent. Modern Tashkent sights: Independence Square with city fountains, Navoiy Theater Square, Museum of Applied Arts, Amir Temur Square, Tashkent Metro. Night at the hotel.
Day 02. Samarkand (335 km) Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Samarkand, settlement at Samarkand hotel. The science and art of ancient East where concentrated in Samarkand since olden times. Multinational and tolerant – it is spoken here that: “there are many stairs leading to the sky” and there is no difference in what language you pray. After short rest evening city tour in Samarkand: Registan Square - Madrassah Ulug Bek (XV), Madrassah Shir-Dor (XVII), Madrassah Tillya-Kori (XVII). Night at the hotel.
Day 03. Samarkand. Breakfast at the hotel. Full day city tour in Samarkand: Visiting of morning East Siab Bazaar, Mausoleum Guri Emir - Tamerlane's Tomb (XIV-XV), Bibi Khanum Mosque (XIV-XV). Excavations and Museum of ancient city of Afrosiab. Architectural Complex Shakh-i-Zinda (dated XI-XV century) and Ulug Bek Observatory (XV), the Mausoleum of prophet Daniel. Visiting carpet factory Hudzhum - handmade silk carpets. Workshop visiting on manufacturing of a papyrian paper (handmade). Free time for purchasing of souvenirs and east spices. Night at the hotel.
Day 04. Samarkand - Nurata (265 km) Breakfast at the hotel. On the way to Bukhara, you are waited by another exotic place – Yurt camp in Nurata and ride on camels. City tour in Nurata: an old mosque with spring sacred water and fish, the lock of Alexander the Great, transferring to settlement Yangikazgan, accommodating in the yurt camp Sputnik Navoi the camp is equipped with yurtas (houses of nomadic tribes), they are made of simple natural materials - tree and felt. After small rest ridding on camels, survey of desert district, walk along dunes. Dinner in specially equipped dining room on nature, then continuation of evening at a fire with live music of Akyn, games and stories about traditions of the nomadic people of Central Asia – this is amazing oriental adventure!
Day 05. Aydarkul Lake. Breakfast. Departure to the Aydarkul Lake. Aydarkul Lake– is a large closed lake in northern-east part of Uzbekistan, is an artificial water basin in Aydar-Arnasa system of the lakes occupying a total area of 4000 km ². The system includes three lakes with salt water (actually Aydarkul, Arnasay and Tuscan). Area of Aydarkul lake has good facility for rest, the pedestrian walks and trips astride horses and camels. Aydarkul Lake is capable to admire and fascinate the most tempted, many fine places seeing on earth. Picnic on the bank of lake. Return to yurts. Overnight in yurts.
Day 06. Nurata - Bukhara (210 km) Breakfast. Road to Bukhara – mountains will be slowly changing to desert, where from ancient times holy hermits found own shelter. On the way visit rock paintings and Gijduvan private pottery workshop. Night at the hotel.
Day 07. Bukhara. Breakfast at the hotel. Holy Bukhara, homeland of Ibn Sino (Avicenna), loved city of all saints and worldwide known philosopher – cheery Hodja Nasriddin, lively, noisy and luxurious capital of Emirs, rich man of all nationals and patrons. When you hear Splendor of East – it is Bukhara! City tour in Bukhara: Ismael Samani Mausoleum (the tomb of representatives of Samanids’ dynasty at the end of IX - beginning of X), Chashma Ayub Mausoleum (Spring of Job - XIV), Bolo-Hauz Mosque (beginning of XX), Citadel Ark (IV) – city in a city, Poi Kalon Ensemble (Pedestal of the Great), religious heart of Sacred Bukhara, consists of Minaret Kalon (XII), Kalyan Mosque (XII), Miri Arab Madrassah (XVI), Ulugbek’s Madrassah (1417), Madrassah Nodir Divanbeghi, Abdul Aziz Khan Madrassah, Magoki-Attori Mosque (dated XII-XVI centuries), Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble (dated XIV-XVII centuries), Kosh-Madrassah Ensemble (consisting of two resisting Madari-Abdullakhan Madrassah (Abdullakhan’s mother) and Abdullakhan Madrassah. Chor-Minor (four minarets). Free time: we advise you to visit Bukhara Dome Bazaars (dated 15-16 centuries): Toki Saraffon (Dome of Moneychangers), Toki-Telpak Furushon (Dome of Cap Makers), Toki Zargaron (Dome of Jewellers) and Tim Abdullakhan (Center of Silk). Night at the hotel.
Day 08. Bukhara. Breakfast at the hotel. There are Rulers’ palaces and mausoleums of Sheikhs are located out of city in Bukhara. A trip out of Bukhara city for a visit to Bahouddin Nakshbandi Mausoleum (dated XVI-XIX century), to the sepulchers of his mother and his preceptor (dated XIV), Mausoleum Chor-Bakr (dated X century), visit to summer residence Sitorai Mokhi Khosa (dated XIX century). There you can see where Emirs of Bukhara spent their time during long and hot summers while taking a rest. Feed some bread to peacocks and make a pilgrimage to holy sites. Free time for purchasing of souvenirs and east spices. We advise to visit the Gold Bazaar. Night at the hotel.
Day 09. Bukhara - Khiva (550) Breakfast at the hotel. In old days, route from Bukhara to Khiva lasted more than a month. Today it takes 6 - 7 hours by vehicle, through mysterious red desert Kyzyl-Kum , the territory of Khorezm , which was called in the past as a State of Thousand and Hundred Cities . What kind of secrets are buried in this desert, this is something what archeologists and historians will be trying to find in the future. Meanwhile, you are invited to view the exotic landscapes of desert with roaming camels, nomadic yurts and old Amudarya River (Oxus). Arrival to Khiva, Hotel accommodation. Leisure time. Night at the hotels.
Day 10. Khiva. If you ever dreamed of getting into Eastern fairy tale, than your dreams come true. City tour in Khiva around: Ichan-Kala architectural complex (XII-XIX), the Residence of the last Khiva Khan including Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, Muhammed Amin Khan Madrassah, Kunya-Ark Castle (XVI-XVI), Kalta Minor Tower, Tash-Hovli Palace (XIX), Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum(XIV-XVIII), Juma Mosque (X) and other Khiva tourist sights. Narrow streets, carved ayvans veranda and doors, majestic minarets and mausoleums, heritage and arts –all kept with care in this city as great treasure. Night at the hotel.
Day 11. Khiva – Tashkent. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to Urghench, flight to Tashkent (according to the time table), flight(1,5-2 hours), and arrival to Tashkent, accommodation at Tashkent hotel. Excursion through old part of the city: Visiting the religious complex Khasti Imam: consisting of Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum (XV), Barak Khan Madrassah (XVI), Muy-Mubarak Mosque - storehouse of the well-known Koran of Khalif Osman and gold hair of prophet Muhammad; Dzhuma-mosque of Khodja Akhrar Vali, the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, Kukeldash Madrassah (XVI). Free time for purchases in CHORSU bazaar and souvenir shops. Night at the hotel.
Day 12. Tashkent. Breakfast at Tashkent hotel. Transfer to the airport, flight for the next destination.
