We offer you the program which bewitches the minds of different travelers from all over the world. It is not a secret that Kyrgyzstan is a land of Celestial Mountains striking by its beauty and attracting thousands of tourists by its unsolved enigmas. Two well-known discoverers of Central Tian-Shan (the area the program covers) were Piotr Semenov-Tian-Shanskiy and Gotfrid Merzbacher. They tried to reach different aims by different ways but their general target was to discover and explore Central Tian-Shan. You will get the opportunity to travel by the routes of the famous travelers.

Semenov-Tian-Shanskiy was a geographer and geologist, botanic and entomologist, statistician and economist, organizer and historian, and a great traveler. He was the first European who had reached the Northern Tien-Shan. Having made several expeditions to Central Tien-Shan in the middle of the 19th century Semenov-Tian-Shanskiy had opened this area for geographical world. His exploration didn’t leave indifferent German mountaineer and geographer Gotfrid Merzbacher, who had organized two expeditions in 1902-1903 and 1907-1908 to this area. Merzbacher was the first who has discovered one of the biggest high-altitude glaciers on the Earth - South Inylchek (length – 59 km). He was also the discoverer of mysterious high-altitude lake with floating ice blocks. The lake was named after him.

The program begins in Bishkek where you will see the main sights if Kyrgyzstan’s capital and learn interesting facts about the history of the country. National Park “Ala-Archa” is one of the highlights of the country and is worth visiting due to its marvelous nature and various trekking routes. So, the second day of the program, enjoy exclusive landscapes (forests, alpine meadows, mountains, glaciers, waterfalls) in “Ala-Archa”.

The program allows you not only to follow the routes of two famous travelers but to get to know the historical sights such as historical complex of Burana Tower (11th century), Prezhevalsky’s Museum, Russian Orthodox Church, Dungan Mosque on the way to the trekking start point Jergalan village. The mountain challenge begins in Terskey Mountain range and down to the Sary-Jaz Valley. A beautiful panorama of snow-covered mountains opens from one of the passes that once amazed Semenov so much. Then through the pass of Tuz across Sary-Jaz Range and down to Inylchek Valley to the tongue of South Inylchek glacier.

During the trekking program you will overcome Djergalan Pass (3710 m), Ashutor Pass (3649 m), Janalach Pass (3510 m), Echkelitash Pass (3560 m), Tuz Pass (4001 m), will cross beautiful valleys Djergalan, Tup, Chon-Janalach, Sary-Djaz, Tuz and Inylchek. Further the way goes by the left side of South Inylchek Glacier moraine, you will cross the glacier. Step by step, unexpectedly you feel inside the endless area of ice and mountains.

The program gives you the chance to see two giants of Central Tien-Shan Pobeda Peak (7439 m) - the most northern seven-thousand plus peak and the highest peak of Central Tien-Shan and Khan-Tengri Peak (7010). Inylchek Glacier is located in eastern part of Kyrgyzstan between Sary-Djaz and Engilchek-Too Ranges. Inylchek Glacier is the second highland glacier by its size in the world. Its length is 59 km, the width is above 3 km in some places. Tengry-Tau Range separates it into Northern and Southern Inylchek. The highland Lake Merzbacher is located in the place of confluence of the glaciers. The marmoreal Khan-Tengri and Pobeda Peaks are located in highland of the glacier.

Merzbacher Lake is located between Southern and Northern Inilchek Glaciers, in the eastern part of Kyrgyzstan. This glacier lake receives wide popularity, due to its unique phenomena: every year the lake is disappearing totally in result of ice break. This is a tremendous occasion happening every summer. The lake is not very big in its size: 4 km long, 1 km across, 60-70 m deep. In the central part it’s separated by ice-wall into two independent lakes.

The way back is by helicopter. During 30 minutes the modern traveler can see unforgettable “movie” about Central Tien-Shan. Then a vehicle drive to the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, the pearl of Tien-Shan with its transparent waters and sandy beaches. Enjoy the life of real Kyrgyz shepherds in yurt camp, traditional Kyrgyz dwelling. Back to the bustling Bishkek with its oriental bazaars. Get pleasure from farewell dinner in one of the restaurants with folklore ensemble performance.

During this trek you will enjoy wild nature, greenest pastures, snowy peaks, largest glaciers and it will be a real challenge for you.
