Travel is one of life’s great joys. Visiting new places, experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. Whether you prefer to relax on a tropical beach, explore the ruins of an ancient civilisation, enjoy the sights & sounds of a city or trek in a remote mountain range, it gives you the opportunity to recharge yourself ready to return to your everyday life and also to get a perspective on the big, wild world.

The downside can be getting to these places on cramped planes, trains and automobiles, and in the more remote, adventurous places staying comfortable in small loges and tents. Fortunately, with a little planning ahead there ae ways you can make your next adventure much more comfortable.

We’ve all done it. We’ve been on a long flight or road trip and find ourselves nodding forward as we doze off to sleep, only to jerk hack upright in our seat. The solution is simple, get a Neck Pillow. You need one that is ergonomically designed, so it fits snuggly around your neck and giving your head full support in all directions. At the same time when you are travelling, space is at a premium so you want one that packs away discreetly when it’s not needed.

A popular option, backed up by excellent customer reviews can be found at Ostrichpillow. It fulfils all the criteria and looks great!

Another potential annoyance when travelling is light. On a journey you are trying to rest and the sun keeps shining in your eyes or you are staying in a hotel with neon lights outside or with thin curtains that lets the dawn light in to wake you every morning. The solution is simple, investing in a good quality Eye mask. You might think you can make do with a scarf wrapped around your head or a cheap, free airline mask but they are a false saving.

You need an eye mask that fits snuggly on your face to stop light leaking in, while applying too much pressure via its strap which will make it uncomfortable to wear for long periods on time like a long haul flight. At Ostrichpillow they offer an Eye mask with 100% blackout and eye cups built in, ensuring no pressure is place on your eyes when you wear it, the ultimate in comfort.

So, with your neck pillow and eye mask you are now fully prepared to travel well. The last thing is to travel clever. Travelling involves a lot of sitting on planes and buses. If you’re not able to move frequently it can lead to swollen feet and ankles as blood flow is restricted.

Compression socks are designed to combat this, giving support to your feet, ankles and lower legs, applying a steady pressure and stopping fluid accumulating. This is not only uncomfortable and can take several hours to disperse, it is also potentially life-threatening if it develops further into deep vein thrombosis. Consider Bamboo Compression Socks, the natural fibres being ideal to help the compression while being anti-bacterial, breathable and helping with odour control. Ostrichpillow offer a great rage of Bamboo Compression Socks, a range that is not only effective but also available in a great range of colours.

Spend some time kitting yourself out with these three essential items and wherever you head off on your next adventure, you can travel safe in the knowledge that you will arrive in the best possible shape to make the most of your holiday. Not only that, with the ergonomic design, stylish looks and beautiful design, you will arrive feeling better both physically and emotionally.
