Forever expanding, the resort provides everything from a luxury spa, to high rope adventures to gourmet dining options. Really has to be seen to be believed. It is no surprise to find Celtic Manor on this list of top UK golf resorts. It is a must visit for any golfer and due to varying hotel/golf combinations, it can be reasonably well priced as well!
One of the UK’s very best golf resorts. Quite often one of the first names on the list when society organisers are considering a golf break in the uk. Located centrally in England, The Belfry is ideally located if you have a group travelling from different parts of the country or flying into different airports. The Belfry is steeped in history and has hosted no less than 4 Ryder Cups. Walk in the footsteps of legends such as Seve and Faldo. There are 3 courses at the Belfry, the Brabazon, PGA national and the Derby.
St Mellion International Resort
Visit the course that Jack built. Host to many European tour events, the Nicklaus course is truly one of the best parkland courses in the UK. Combined with its sister course, the Kernow, and beautiful hotel, it is no surprise that the reviews of this unique golfing destination are excellent.
The Nicklaus course is a real treat, cleverly designed and no two holes are the same. The hotel boasts two restaurants and multiple bars. Advice would be to pay the small upgrade fee on the room to get a view of the 18th!
Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club
Located close to the major City of Manchester, Worsley is a tranquil escape from City life. In true Marriott fashion the hotel boasts a beautiful spa, two restaurants and an 18-hole Championship golf course, all housed in a top end 4* set up.
The Victorian style building contains 158 beautifully decorated rooms to allow you to relax in luxury and comfort. The leisure facilities are also excellent, including an indoor pool, fitness centre, gym and sauna.
The course has hosted some great events over the years and provides a varied experience as you navigate your way around the 8 lakes and no less than 71 bunkers!
Trevose Golf & Country Club
There are few golf resorts in the UK boasting such a set up. A championship links golf course, beautiful club house and stunning self-catering 5-star lodges. There are 2 courses on offer, including a shorter par 3 and 4 option for those who aren’t ready to tackle the famous Championship course. The fantastic restaurant on-site restaurant provides course and sea views like nothing else. So picturesque is the scenery that Volvo choose to use the scene in their Sky Atlantic adverts!
