As one of the most popular short haul islands during the spring and summer months, Tenerife offers outstanding weather and plenty to see and do for holidaymakers from all over the world. If you’re hoping to grab a last minute deal or planning ahead for the summer, the Canary Island of Tenerife is an ideal choice for families, couples and groups of friends.

If you plan to drive to the airport on the morning of the departure, book Birmingham airport car parking in advance in order to take advantage of the online savings that are available to you. It’s incredible how cheap airport parking can be with a little forethought – don’t leave it until the morning you fly, else you could end up spending over the odds.

With an average temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, you can be sure that whenever you head to its shores, you will be welcomed by beautiful sunshine that the UK lacks.

Plenty of tourist attractions mean that you don’t have to spend the entirety of your time here chilling by the pool. If you want to get out and do something, Tenerife is the place to do it. With two waterparks on the south of the island, animal attractions including dolphin shows and monkey parks, and the chance to spot whales and dolphins in their natural habitat mean that whatever you’re interested in, there’s something to suit.

Head for Tiede National Park and the astounding natural beauty it possesses. Home to the third largest volcano in the world, Mount Tiede, it provides a great day out for everyone. Alternatively, Icod de los Vinos in the west provides caves to explore and the breathtaking mythological dragon tree, Los Dragos.

With fantastic sands for the beach bods, plenty of watersports for the thrillseekers and ample opportunity to just sit back, relax and recharge your batteries, you can guarantee an unforgettable holiday in Tenerife this year.
