The ‘BBQ Summer’ that was promised to the UK hasn’t materialized (surprise surprise). It’s been a wet July and August has been windy and overcast so far! Don’t despair though as flights are cheap at the moment, so fun and adventure are never far away. Once you’ve followed our Top Tips to Save Money on Travel, you’ll need an exciting tour to take your mind off that expensive barbecue going to waste in the shed! Take your pick from these tours, whilst London is 21 degrees with heavy rain showers forecast, good times are guaranteed here;

Vietnam – Hot and happening, Vietnam is loaded with plenty of culture, history and nature – just watch out for the mopeds! Outlook – 30C, scattered clouds

Gambia –Natural and unspoilt, Gambia has amazing wildlife from crocodiles to incredible birds. Outlook – 30C, partly cloudy

Chile – Stay in an eco lodge and get active in Atacama with hiking, mountaineering and horseback riding. Outlook – 19C, clear

Bhutan – Packed full of ancient history and culture, you can take you pick from sedate sightseeing to challenging treks. Outlook – 18C, storms

Sri Lanka – There is so much to see and do throughout Sri Lanka, and after checking out all those historical sights, chill out on the idyllic beaches. Outlook – 28C, scattered clouds

Kenya – Safari, adventure, beaches – take your pick in Kenya, which is well known for its walking, air and kayaking safaris and of course home to the famous Obama trail! Outlook – 20C, scattered clouds

Nepal – Tackle Everest or Annapurna (or both!) and explore the local traditions and lifestyles. Outlook – 21C, light rain

Tibet – Gawp at the stunning landscapes and have yourself a fantastic cultural adventure. Outlook – 18C, clear

Slovenia – If you love skiing and wild bear adventures, then Slovenia is ideal for you and is great as a base to explore the surrounding countries. Outlook – 28C, clear
