Climb Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest peak with one of our experienced professional guides. Ben Nevis stands at 1,344 metres (4,408 feet) on the west coast of Scotland near Fort William and attracts tens of thousands of walkers and climbers each year. Our professional guides have hundreds of ascents between them and take pride in deivering an outstanding guiding service on Ben Nevis.
Climbing Ben Nevis is a real challenge in summer as you start from just above sea level and climb to 1344m and in winter conditions the mountain takes on a whole new dimesion cloaked in a shroud of snow and ice.
The Mountain Track from Glen Nevis is a straightforward route in summer and thousands climb without a guide to appreciate the spectacular views of the Scottish Highlands with the Isle of Mull, Isle of Skye, Glencoe and the Cairngorm mountains all visible on a clear day.
The CMD Arête is the other common walking route and offers a much more interesting and challenging route to the summit of Ben Nevis. There is some very easy scrambling involved along exposed ridges so you should be happy with heights and have a good level of fitness.
The weather on Ben Nevis is often inhospitable and you should consider hiring a private guide for your group if you are: inexperienced, climbing between October and May (when the summit plateau is snow covered), organising an event for your charity, company or club (you have a duty of care to participants), want to increase your chance of success if conditions are bad or would simply like a deeper insight into the mountain, area, geology, flora and fauna that our local guides offer.
