Itinerary
Day 01. Arrival Kuala Lumpur. On arrival at Kuala Lumpur International airport (KLIA), meet and greet services and transferred to Kuala Lumpur city hotel.
Day 02. Kuala Lumpur Countryside Tour [Breakfast] Breakfast in the hotel. Free until afternoon, and then proceed for a half day countryside tour. A trip to the outskirts of the city, passing by Malay Villages. Our first stop is at the Royal Selangor Pewter will feature the largest and most modern pewter factory in the world, reputed internationally for its high quality and craftsmanship. You will be shown the different processes, such as casting, filing, polishing, soldering, hammering and engraving during this factory tour. Next we stop at Batik Factory see how batik is designed and printed. The last stop will be at the limestone hills of Batu Caves that comprises three caverns and several smaller caves. It is the shrine of Lord Murugan, a Hindu deity - a flight of 272 steps leads up to the temple cave. Another cave, called the Museum Cave, is filled with images of deities and murals depicting scenes from the Hindu scriptures. Then dropped back to your hotel.
Day 03. Elephant Sanctuary – Taman Negara (National Park) [Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner] After breakfast check-out from the hotel and pick-up for journey Taman Negara by coach. On the way visit the Deer Park. Packed lunch will be served. Then visit the Elephant Sanctuary, where you get see the elephants get washed by the rangers. You can then feed the elephants and go for elephant ride. Finally you can even bathe with the elephants (kindly bring along your shorts & a towel as you can get wet).The journey continues and on arrival at Jerantut pick up the vouchers for Taman Negara by boat. On arrival at Taman Negara check-in to your chalet Dinner at the floating restaurant by the riverside. Followed by a video presentation, night jungle walk and visit to Tahan Hide (bring along torchlight).
Day 04. Taman Negara – Activities [Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner] Breakfast at the floating restaurant. Then go for jungle trekking and walk on the Canopy Walkway. Lunch at the floating restaurant. Then visit an aboriginal village and go for a boat journey to shoot the Seven Major Rapids. Dinner at the floating restaurant. Overnight at the resort chalet.
Day 05. Taman Negara – Cameron Highlands [Breakfast/Lunch] Check-out and have breakfast at the floating restaurant and take boat ride out of Taman Negara and bus ride to Jerantut. Lunch at the local café. After lunch a shuttle coach to Cameron Highlands. On arrival check-in to the hotel for the night.
Day 06. Cameron Highlands – Rainforest Expedition Tour [Breakfast] After breakfast in the hotel, depart for an 8 hour Rainforest Expedition a 4X4 Off Road vehicle. Highlights of tour includes Rafflesia,The worlds largest flower (Seasonal) ,Aborigine village, Blow Pipe hunting demonstration, jungle trekking (1-2 hours),Swimming at a waterfall, Scenic view of a Tea Plantation, Tea Factory, Tea Shop, Tea Center, Reptile & Butterfly Farm and visit to a Strawberry Farm. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07. Cameron Highlands – Penang [Breakfast] After an early breakfast in the hotel, take a shuttle vehicle to Penang.This 5 hour journey passes through lush green land shapes of the west Malaysia. On arrival at Penang Island, check in to beach hotel at Batu Ferringhi. Free at your own leisure to enjoy the food or take a walk along the beach. Overnight at the hotel
Day 08. Penang – Grand Island Tour [Breakfast] Breakfast in the hotel, and then depart for a full day tour of Penang Island. Pick up from your hotel and drive along the coastal road and stop at Batik Factory to watch the traditional technique of wax printing and dyes. Next visit Malay Kampong – Malay Village. Tour continue visit Snake Temple where pit vipers atom the altars. After lunch (own expense) ascend Penang Hill – 830 metres by funicular railway which takes 30 min. to reach the peak for a panoramic view of Georgetown, Penang Bridge and the mainland. Then return to the hotel for the night.
Day 09. Penang – Langkawi [Breakfast] Early breakfast in the hotel. Then transferred to the Penang Ferry Terminal to board the ferry departing for the mystical island of Langkawi. On arrival at the jetty in Langkawi about 2 ¾ hours later, you will be picked up and transferred to beach hotel. You are free to enjoy a swim or relax the rest of the day.
Day 10. Langkawi – Mangrove Tour [Breakfast/Lunch] Breakfast in the hotel. Then depart for the popular Mangrove Tour, this 6 hour tour in boat with a nature guide stops at the Charcoal Factory, Crocodile Cave, Local Fish Farm, Eagle Feeding and lunch at Barn Thai restaurant. Then you would be sent back to the hotel.
Day 11. Langkawi – Kuala Lumpur [Breakfast/Lunch] Breakfast in the hotel. Free until time to check-out and be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Kuala Lumpur. On arrival at Kuala Lumpur pick-up and transferred to the hotel.
Day 12. Kuala Lumpur – Historical Malacca Tour [Breakfast/Lunch] After breakfast in the hotel, be picked up to proceed to for day trip to the historical city of a Malacca, about 2 hours from the Kuala Lumpur. Visit St Peter's Church (built in 1710), the oldest Christian Church which is still in use. Drive past the largest 17th Century Chinese Cemetery, located at Bukit Cina or Chinese Hill. Stop at the foothill to view the Sultan's well before driving through the Portuguese Settlement. Proceed to view the famous gateway Porta De Santiago and the ruins of St. Paul's Church, lined with 17th century Dutch Tombstones. Next on the list is the Red Square ; the salmon pink Dutch administrative buildings which today houses the Malacca Museum and government offices. Visit Christ Church before proceeding for lunch, which after, we visit the Abode Merciful Clouds or the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the only temple where you can find 3 major doctrines of local Chinese belief under the same roof!; Taaim, Buddhism and Confucianism. Then, take a stroll along Malacca's Jonker Street, which ends by the banks of the Malacca River. Then return to the hotel for the night.
Day 13. Kuala Lumpur – City Tour & Cultural Night Tour [Breakfast/Dinner with Cultural Show] After breakfast in the hotel depart for a half day tour of the city. An interesting tour which unveils the beauty and charm of the old and new Kuala Lumpur, See the contrast of the magnificent skyscrapers and the building of the colonial days. The highlights of the tour includes a photostop at the Petronas Twin Tower, the world’s tallest twin towers, photo stop at the King’s Palace , National Monument, National Museum, National Mosque, and Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the old colonial administrative of British Malaysia and the Independence Square. Then back to the hotel. This evening we depart for a cultural night tour of the city. This tour introduces you to the Malaysian way of life - a harmonious mingling of the different races, cultures and religions. We begin by taking you to the largest and oldest Hindu temple in the city, the Sri Mahamariamman Temple. The smell of burning jasmine, the incessant chanting of Hindu priests and the mystical aura will combine to give you an everlasting impression of this fascinating religion. A short walk from here is the open air bazaar of Chinatown. Take a stroll through this night market where the locals engage in hectic bargaining for merchandises spread across the middle of the street. From here, we drive you to a delightful Malay restaurant where you will be treated to a Malay buffet dinner and cultural show. Help yourself to the buffet dinner, where a sumptuous variety of local delicacies awaits you. While you feast, you will enjoy Malaysian cultural dances. Then you are sent back to the hotel.
Day 14. Kuala Lumpur – airport [Breakfast] Breakfast in the hotel. Then free at your own leisure until time to check from the hotel for transfer to KLIA to board your flight back home with fond memories of Malaysia. End of Tour
