Our one way sailing holiday from Copenhagen to Arhus gives you the opportunity to experience Denmark to the full, sailing along beautiful coastlines, visiting many different islands and not having to double back on yourselves. Airports close to both bases make transport to Velvet Lady very easy.

Join us in Copenhagen: the lively capital situated on the island of Zealand and home to many of Denmarks top 10 sights. Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid, Fredensborg Castle and of course The Stroget, Europes longest shopping street! Sail to Arhus, an historic old town situated on the east coast of Jutland. With its beautiful old houses the old town in Arhus is listed as one of the best sights in Denmark.

As well as the sailing, our itineraries will allow us time to visit and explore ashore in many places, look around stunning castles and spend some time on the long sandy beaches where it is warm enough to go swimming in the sea.

Our holiday prices are all inclusive of all meals on board and yacht operating costs, the only extras are flights, transfers and travel insurance.

With westerly winds and flat seas we will negotiate narrow well buoyed passages and pass under bridges to find the best places to go. We will stop at a mix of marinas, fishing villages, towns with lots of history and secluded anchorages. The islands are so close together that we do not need to have long days sailing and some days we may visit one place for lunch before setting off again in the afternoon.

Lin and Richard are your hosts to ensure you are safe at sea and well looked after in harbour. Join us to spend the days sailing aboard our comfortable Oyster 55, Velvet Lady, and spend the late afternoon and evening exploring ashore. Dinner is always freshly prepared and served on board at 2000 every day. Relax on board and let us look after you!

Fly direct from UK to Copenhagen airport, Velvet Lady will be moored in a marina approximately 10 miles from Copenhagen airport with good public transport connections.

On your return to UK either fly direct from Arhus to Stansted (there is a regular airport bus from Arhus town to the airport) or take a half hour flight from Arhus to Copenhagen before flying on to UK. You could even make a weekend of it in Copenhagen and fly home Sunday night!
