The first Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) took place in Copenhagen (Denmark) on 15 November 2003 and was an instant international hit. Since then it has taken place in Lillehammer (Norway), Hasselt (Belgium), Bucharest (Romania), Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Lemesos (Cyprus) and in Kyiv (Ukraine).
In 2010 Voters and juries from 14 countries have made up their mind and it's Vladimir Arzumanyan from Armenia to win the 8th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest!
In 2014, the 11th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held, in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, In Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex on the 3rd of December.

Itinerary
Day 01. Yerevan City Tour/01.12.11/(70km) Arrival to Yerevan. Meeting at Zvartnots International airport. Transfer to the hotel. Check-In Support. After breakfast at the hotel meet your tour guide and start city tour round Yerevan. The contemporary capital of Armenia is 13th and is one of the oldest cities of the world founded in 782 BC. During tour visit Erebouni Museum of the History of the Foundation of Yerevan which stands at the foot of the Arin Berd hill, on top of which the Urartian Fortress Erebouni has been constructed. The next visit is Yerevan History Museum which throw light on the history of the city beginning from ancient times up to our days. Visiting Tsisernakaberd Memorial Complex dedicated to the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians who perished in the first genocide of the 20th century.Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel (Yerevan).
Day 02. Yerevan-Tsakhkadzor-Yerevan/02.12.11/(70km) Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Tsaghkadzor. Tsaghkadzor is a city and a popular health resort in Armenia located in the Kotayk Region. Tsaghkadzor means valley of flowers in Armenian. The city is located 50 kilometers north of Yerevan, on the southeastern slope of Teghenis Mountains, at a height of 1750 meters above sea level, surrounded with alpine meadows. City tour round the city with visiting Kecharis Monastery, Orbeli brothers' house-museum and the Tsakhkadzor ski resort. The Kecharis Monastery of the 11th century is a group of 4 churches, and it is one of the well-preserved medieval architectural samples of the Armenian Highland. The Orbeli brothers' house-museum in Tsaghkadzor is dedicated to the Armenian scientists Ruben, Levon and Joseph Orbeli who were native of Tsaghkadzor. Professor Ruben Orbeli was the founder of marine archaeology and one of the major specialists of ocean engineering. Physiologist Levon Orbeli was a member of the Academies of Science of USSR and Armenian SSR. Scientist Joseph Orbeli was an orientalist specialized in medieval history of Southern Caucasus, he administered the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg from 1934 to 1951. The Tsakhkadzor ski resort is located just above the town, on a height of 1750 meters above sea level. There were initially three consecutive lifts stretching from the foot of the mountain (1969m above sea level) up till the mountain peak (2819m). Apart from the lifts the resort offers ski and snowboard rental as well as skiing instructors. After full day enjoyments in the winter capital of Armenia return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03. Yerevan-Garni-Geghard-9th Junior Eurovision Song Contest/03.12.11/(60km) Breakfast at the hotel. Visiting History Museum of Armenia, where you will get acquaintance with the large collection of materials connected with history of Armenia and ancient eastern countries in the Armenian Highland. Drive to Garni temple(1stA.D.) which is the only witness of Hellenistic Epoch in the territory of CIS. Temple dedicated to Mithra - the God of Sun. Continue tour to Gegard Monastery(12-13thcc..). Geghard initially known simply as Irivank (Cave Monastery). The name refers to the biblical lance used by Roman soldier to pierce the Christ's body. Hundreds of Khachkars and caves are built in the rocks surrounding the Monastery. Geghard and the Upper Azat Valley are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Return to Yerevan with stop at the Charents's Arch. It is from here that the Greatest Armenian poet of XX c. admired the view of the double-peaked Ararat. Return to Yerevan. Drive to the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex, where will be held the 9th Junior Eurovision Song Contest. After the concert return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel (Yerevan).
Day 04. Yerevan-Etchmiadzin-Yerevan/04.12.11/(70km) Breakfast at the hotel. Check Out from the hotel. Morning visit to Matenadaran-one of unique Institutes of Ancient Manuscripts in the world. Tour to centuries-old monuments Ejmiatsin and Zvartnots listed on UNESCO World Heritage list. Visiting the churches of 3 Virgins: centre-domed cruciform church of Saint Hripsimeh (618), domical basilica of Saint Gayaneh (630) and 'domed gallery' type church of Shoghakat (1694). The Cathedral of Ejmiatsin(303) is an official residence of Armenian Catholicos. At the Museum of the Mother Cathedral you will see many reliquaries: the Holy Lance (Geghart) which pierced the side of Christ, housed in a silver reliquary; the relics of Noah's Ark in a reliquary that was created in 1698; Khotekerats Sourp Nishan reliquary with the relic of Jesus Christ's wooden cross (914-929); the cross of King Ashot Yerkat with it chest, one of the oldest processional crosses in existence, etc. Visiting Zvartnots(7-10th cc..)- a Temple of Vigil Forces. Return to the hotel. Excursion in ARARAT Cognac Factory (Tour and degustation). Banquet in national restaurant accompanying national Armenian songs and dances. Transfer to the airport 3 hours before flight. Support in airport check-in. Weepy parting . Departure.
