|Moshi. Check in hotel in Moshi for overnight stay looking forward for the trek the following day. Dinner and overnigh at the hote.|
|1.140 – 3.100m Moshi - Machame Hut. We leave the hotel in Moshi to Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park Machame gate. The drive takes an hour through Machame agriculture area. We check in and proceed through the rain forest in a muddy wet road which at the end can be slippery. The good walk covers 11 kms (6-7 hrs) and will finally lead you to Machame Hut for dinner and overnight.|
|3.100 – 3.840m Machame Hut – Shira Hut. After breakfast, we leave the glades of the rain forest to continue on an ascending path crossing long steep rocky ridges covered will heather. Then, we proceed to the viewpoint for land and further to Shira for dinner and overnight. Total distance 5 kms which takes 5-6 hrs.|
|3.840 – 3.860m Shira Hut – Barranco Hut. We continue eastwards from Shira towards Kibo Peak and change direction to southeast towards Lewa Tower. There we hit 4.640m and go down to Barranco early enough for hot lunch. The evening is spent watching Barranco Wall waiting for the next day when we start with the steep Barranco Wall. From the top you can enjoy the view. Then we continue to our camp for dinner and overnight.|
|3.860 – 4.600m Barancco Hut – Barafu Hut. We leave Karanga Valley Camp and proceed to complete southern circuit through the rocky ridges which will finally lead you to Barafu Hut. Views of the mountain from all angles are expected during this 4 km trek (4-5 hrs). Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at Barafu Hut.|
|4.600 – 5.895 – 3.100m Barafu Hut – Uhuru – Mweka Camp. After pre-dawn breakfast, we leave Barafu Hut for the summit to reach the highest point of Africa! The sunrise from the summit is just amazing. After this magical experience it is then a careful descend to Barafu Hut for brunch and descend down to Mweka Camp for the last dinner on Kilimanjaro. The day from Barafu Hut to the summit and down to Mweka Camp is 12 kms which takes a good 11 hrs.|
|3.100 – 1.140m Mweka Camp – Moshi. Today we leave Mweka Camp and descend 10 km down to Mweka gate (3-4 hrs) to connect transfer back to Moshi..|
