Itinerary
Day 01. Arrive Delhi Meeting & Assistance at the Airport, Transfer to the booked Hotel.
Day 02. Delhi - full day sightseeing : Morning after breakfast, sight seeing tour of Sahajahanabad, now known as Old Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Musjid - the largest mosque of India, President’s house and the Secretariat buildings, India Gate – The War Memorial, Humayun Tomb, Qutub Minar & Lotus temple (also known as Bahai Temple). O/n hotel.
Day 03. Delhi – Mandawa (shekhawati region) (253 kms / 6hrs.) : Morning after breakfast drive about 6hrs(253kms) to Mandawa (Shekhawati). Afternoon visit the Fort and Havelis. Day 04. Mandawa - Jaipur (170 KMS / 4hrs. ) Morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur. Overnight at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 05. In Jaipur - Morning after early breakfast, visit to Amber Fort, the ancient Capital of the state until 1728. Enjoy the Elephant ride up to the hill on which the Fort is situated. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory, Jaimahal (Look at the beautiful mirror work and intricate inlay work) and the Temple of Goddess Kali. Later visiting Maharaja’s City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of winds through the rose - pink residential and business areas of Jaipur. Day 06. Jaipur – Agra (245 KMS / 6hrs.) In the morning commence for Agra enroute visit the deserted city of mughal emperor – Fatehpur Sikri(40 KMS from Agra) built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned it just after 15 years due to the scarcity of water. Visit the graceful buildings – The punch Mahal, Anup Talab,Diwan-e- Khas, Tomb of the holy saint Salim Chisti,Buland Darwaza and other important palaces where one experiences not only the Architectural brilliance but also its perfect fusion. Later drive to Agra. Visit Agra Fort built by Akbar and later extended by Jahangir and Shah Jahan. Evening visit the world famous Mausoleum – The Taj Mahal, an unique epitome of Love built by Moghul Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. A Sahajahan”s drop of tear on the cheek of Time that has now crystallized. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07. Agra – Jhansi by train : Morning at 0800hrs. board Shatabdi express train to Jhansi. Arrive Jhansi at about 1000hrs. and drive to Orchha. O/n Orchha
Day 08. Orchha – Khajuraho drive (170 kms / abt 3 hrs.) Morning after breakfast drive to Khajuraho.
Day 09. Khajuraho : Visit the eastern group of temples, consisting of the parasvanath temple and temples dedicated to Brahma, Yamuna, Adinath. Afternoon visit the western group of Temples. O/n hotel.
Day 10. Khajuraho – Varanasi fly. (subject to schedule and availability) Morning after breakfast, transfer to airport for fly to Varanasi. Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Evening visit Aarti Ceremony on the ghat of Ganges. O/n hotel.
Day 11. Varanasi : Morning boat ride on Ganges, one of the most spectacular sights, see holy sadhus meditating and dipping in Ganges, at sun rise. After breakfast visit to Sarnath, dedicated to Lord Buddha with beautiful museum and temple compound. Sarnath is the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Also visit to Benaras Hindu University. O/n hotel.
Day 12. Varanasi - KATHMANDU fly. (subject to schedule and availability) Morning after breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to KATHMANDU. Arrive in Kathmandu, you will be met at the airport by our representative and transferred to your Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city, Durbar Square and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) Kathmandu Durbar Square:This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries used to be the seat of Malla kings of Kathmandu. The Durbar square, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the social religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also several Museums inside the palace building. Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): This is considered as oldest Buddhist stupa. Watches over the valley from the top of hillock on its western side. The stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites of Nepal. It' establishment is linked to the creation of Kathmandu valley out of primordial lake. It's listed in World Heritage site. Overnight hotel.
Day 13. Full day Sightseeing tour – Kathmandu. A full day guided sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath temple,Baudhanath stupa & Patan. Baudhanth Stupa: Baudhanath lies about 6km to the east of down town Kathmandu and is the largest stupa in the valley. Day 14. Sightseeing tour – Nagarkot. A full day guided sightseeing tour of Changunarayan, Bhaktapur and drive to Nagarkot for overnight. Changu Narayan temple: This temple is situated on a ridge over looking the valley about 12km to the east of the city. It is dedicated to the God Bishnu. This temple is one of the finest and oldest specimens of pagoda architecture and also listed in World Heritage Sites. Bhaktapur: As you walk in, you can't but be overcome by a feeling of inner harmony. Such is the art and architecture and the special layout here. The 15th-century Palace of 55 Windows, situated to the left as you enter through the city gate inspires admiration. The National Art Gallery is also housed inside. The Palace entrance, the Golden Gate, is a masterpiece in repousse art. In front of the Palace building is a medley of temples of various designs. There are more things to see in Bhaktapur, they are Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, Potters' Square etc. Drive on to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is situated at an elevation of 2175m and provides a grandstand panorama of the Himalaya. You can see five of the world's 10 tallest mountains: Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8561m), Cho-Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8463m) and Manaslu (8163m) and many other lesser summits. The snow peaks look so gorgeous during the sunset and sunrise. Overnight at hotel.
