Day 01. Baku - Arrival Day - (Dinner included). Upon arrival, meet with our local representative in the airport. We will transfer you to your hotel for checking in and settle down and you will be given your room key. Dinner and overnight in Baku.
Day 02. Baku Old City Tour - (Breakfast and dinner included) After your breakfast in your hotel, we shall start our city tour today. We will visit the old city - Icheri Sheher, as know as Inner city. It is the historical core of Baku. For a long period of time, an explicit symbol of the Old City was a mulberry tree located behind the Djuma Mosque. It was believed that the tree was several hundred years old. The tree made its way into many sayings and songs popular in the Old City, and became a local landmark. The place where that tree was located was referred to as Mulberry Tree Square. However, in 1970s the mulberry tree was cut down, because of the nearby construction works. In the city, we will visit Palace of the Shirvan shahs which is the biggest monument of the Shirvan-Absheron branch of the Azerbaijan architecture. Also we will visit the Maiden Tower which is noted landmark and one of Azerbaijan's most distinctive national emblems. In December 2000, both of them became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. At last we will see The Bukhara Caravanserai with its medieval courtyard served as a medieval inn and tavern in the 15th century while the Multani Caravanserai dates to the 14th century. Both inns were presumably built and used by merchants traveling by camel caravan from Bukhara (present-day Uzbekistan) and Multan (India). Both have since been converted into restaurants which serve traditional Azerbaijani cuisine. At the end of the tour, transfer back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Baku.
Day 03. Baku - Historical-Art Tour - (Breakfast and dinner included) Today we will lead you to see the historical art in Baku, including Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape or simply Gobustan, is a hill and mountain site occupying the southeast ending of the Big Caucasian Ridge, mainly in the basin of Jeyran Kechmaz River, between the rivers Pirsagat and Sumgait. Fire worshippers Temple where is the historical roots of the monument go back to the hoary past, to the days when Azerbaijan statehood was only taking shape and establishing itself and Zoroastrianism, the central part in whose ritual is played by fire, was the dominant religion in the country. The flaming torches of gas escaping from under the ground and burning in many places all over the Absheron Peninsula were believed to have miraculous divine power. Tonight, we have arrange your dinner in a local restaurant with national cuisine and following entertainment show. Overnight in Baku.
Day 04. Baku - Lahich – Gabala - (Breakfast and dinner included) After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and we shall depart for Ismayilli district village - Lahich. Lahich is a notable place in Azerbaijan, with its authentic handicrafts traditions, particularly related to copper. The village’s carpet and rug crafts are also well known in Azerbaijanand the South Caucasus. Lahich has an old sewage system (some experts claim that it was built 1000 - 1500 years ago). Due to frequent earthquakes local people have developed sophisticated and authentic construction techniques. Afterwards, we will continue our drive to Gabala. Upon arrival, we will visit Chukhur - Gabala, the city has an interesting cultural centre, with beautiful Soviet mosaics, a large war memorial, numerous ancient stone houses and the Rashidbek monument, which is shaped as a huge book. And we will viist to rest zone Seven beauties. Dinner and overnight in Karavan Hotel in Gabala.
Day 05. Gabala – Sheki - (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included) We will depart for Sheki after your breakfast in your hotel. Upon arrival, we will have an excursion around the city. Visit to Palace of Sheki Khans (XVIII A.D.) where is the most outstanding and valuable monument of the 18th century Azerbaijan. Also we will viist the resort zone Markhal and fortress Galarsan - Gorarasan. Dinner and overnight in Caravansaray Hotel in Sheki.
Day 06. Sheki – Telavi - In the morning drive to visit the local market and then continue the way to the Georgia – Az border (Lagodekhi), change transport and guide and after some border formalities continue the trip to Georgia. We drive to explore Kakheti region well known for its wine producing. We enjoy super views of Great Caucasus Mountains and valleys of Kakheti; acknowledge traditions and culture of the country and region, taste wines and delicious food. We visit one of the 19th century Georgian duke’ palaces in Tsinan Dali, enjoy walking in the beautiful garden, visit the museum and taste different kind of red and white wine.
Day 07. Telavi – Mtskheta – Gudauri - In the morning drive to visit Alaverdi Cathedral (11th c), then continue to Gremi architectural complex (16th c) and afterwards take the way via Gombori to the ancient capital and religious centre of Georgia – Mtskheta and its historic Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Later we head for the ski resort of Gudauri, en route visiting Ananuri architectural complex (15th – 17th cc). The drive is very scenic as it heads up into the Great Caucasus mountains. Dinner and overnight in Gudauri.
Day 08. Gudauri – Kazbegi – Tbilisi - A stunning drive from Gudauri along the Tergi River will bring us to Kazbegi – the main town in the region. From Kazbegi a leisurely 1.5 hour walk up through beautiful valleys and woodland leads us to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170m. Weather permitting you may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (5047 m). Then we take the same way back to drive to Tbilisi.
Day 09. Tbilisi. Today we have Tbilisi sightseeing tour. The city offers a great variety of sights, most of them very ancient. All the places of interest in theOld Town are very close to each other, within a few minutes’ walk. We start our visit to Old Tbilisi from Metekhi Church, then walk up to the brick-domed Sulphur Baths. From the Baths we head up the hill to visit Narikala Fortress – one of the oldest fortifications in the city. Afterwards we continue to the Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Church. This marks the end of the Old Town. Visit the stunning treasury of the Georgian National Art Museum, before taking a stroll along Rustaveli Avenue – the main street in Tbilisi.
Day 10. Tbilisi - End of the Tour - (Breakfast included) Today is the end of the tour, it's time to say goodbye with you. Regarding your flight departure time, we will arrange your transfer to airport for your international flight back home.
