Itinerary
Day 01. Arrival in the city of Grodno (founded 1128) situated 300 km West of Minsk on the border with Poland; the city today ranks number one among old Belarusian cities in its authentic planning and the 12th - 16th centuries, churches, numerous the 17th - 18th centuries, religious and public buildings. Check-in at the hotel. Grodno sightseeing tour. Dinner. Time at leisure. .
Day 02. Breakfast. Travel to Lida (108 km). Lida sightseeing tour. The town was founded in the 13th century. The tour includes the Castle of Lida (defensive architecture of the 14th - 15th centuries) combining features of Roman architecture and early Gothic. Nowadays, there are only some defensive walls and towers are left (under restoration) there. Travel to Novogrudok (54 km). The town is founded in 1044. Novogrudok sightseeing tour including ruins of the Fortress of Novogrudok - an ancient monument of Belarusian defensive architecture (the end of the 13th - the beginning of the 14th centuries).The town was the first capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (1240). Dinner (Belarusian National cuisine). Free time. Transfer to the village of Malomozheykovo (85 km), acquaintance with the Fortress-Church of Malomozheykovo (the example of defensive architecture of the 14th - 15th centuries). Travel to Grodno (75 km). Dinner. Time at leisure.
Day 03. Early breakfast. Travel to Mir (200 km) The 16th century. Castle of Mir offers an example of architecture of this period. It has features of the late Belarusian Gothic. In the 16th century, the castle was rebuilt in the style of Renaissance. Today it has features of Gothic, Renaissance, defensive and palace architecture. Transfer to Nesvizh (40 km) a former residence of the Radzivills medieval Belarusian magnets. Nesvizh sightseeing tour, including the Palace and Castle Ensemble founded in the 16th century and built by Jan Maria Bernardoni, Corpus Dei Roman Catholic church (16th century) built also by Bernardoni, a patrimonial burial-vault for the Radzivills, Slutsk Gate (16th century), the Town Hall (16th 17th centuries), Castle Gate Tower (16th century), Benedictine monastery (17th 18th centuries). Return to Grodno.Dinner. Time at leisure.
