Itinerary
Day 01. Arrival at Minsk-2 International Airport, transfer to the chosen hotel, check-in at the hotel. Time at leisure. Dinner.
Day 02. Breakfast. Minsk sightseeing tour visiting the place, where the city was born (11th century), the Upper town (16th 18th centuries) with the Russian Orthodox Holy Ghost Cathedral and St Joseph Roman Catholic Church, the Trinity suburb (19th centuries); Isle of Tears, Independence Square (20 century) with its Government Building (1929 - 1933) and Red Roman Catholic Church of the early 20th century and others. Visit to the Museum of Country Architecture and Life on the open air in Strochitsy (18 km from Minsk) displaying the original pieces of rural architecture from various regions of Belarus as well as numerous domestic utensils, articles of applied arts and agricultural implements used by the rural population in the past. Visit to the Art Museum of Belarus (Picture Gallery) displaying its rich collection of Belarusian fine arts of the 16th - 20th centuries, including icons, old wooden sculpture, articles of applied arts, painting and drawings. Dinner. Cultural program in the evening: Belarusian ballet, opera performance, philharmonic society, circus, casino etc.
Day 03. Early breakfast. Travel to Polotsk. Polotsk sightseeing tour. Polotsk. - the oldest Belarusian city (founded in 862) and the centre of old Slavonic history and culture. Polotsk is famous for its 11th century's St. Sophia Cathedral, Convent of St. Ephrosinia of Polotsk (12th century) a Saint benefactress of Belarus, Saint Ephrosinia Church (12th century) where the Cross of Ephrosinia, the national heritage is kept. Visit to the Museum of Book-printing - one of the best in Europe. The Stone of Boris - the example of old Slavonic culture, its weight is 25 tons. Transfer to Minsk. Dinner.
Day 04. Breakfast. Travel to Mir. Mir sightseeing tour. The 15th century's Castle of Mir offers a unique example of architecture of this period; it has features of the late Belarusian Gothic, Renaissance defensive and palace architecture. Travel to Nesvizh a former residence of the Radzivills medieval Belarusian magnets. Nesvizh sightseeing tour, including the Palace and Castle Ensemble founded in the 16th cent. and built by Jan Maria Bernardoni, Corpus Dei Roman Catholic church (16th century) built also by Bernardoni, a patrimonial burial-vault for the Radzivills, Slutsk Gate (the 16th century), the Town Hall (16th 17th centuries), Castle Gate Tower (16th century.), Benedictine monastery (17th 18th centuries.) Transfer to Minsk. Dinner.
Day 05. Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out from the hotel. Transfer to the Minsk-2 International Airport for your departure flight.
