National Geographic has twice recognized this area as the best managed and maintained tourist destination in the world. The fjordsceneries on this trip will take your breath away.

Magnificent viewpoints are waiting for you everywhere. But we need to hike to get there and we need the mountains to be free from snow. Therefore, August is the perfect time to do a trip like this. We will pick you up at Bergen airport Flesland and bring you to Stalheim Hotel, our base for the weekend. The stunning and world famous view from the balcony of the hotel, has been painted by several well known artists particularly in the last part of the 18th century.

Our knowledgeable and experienced guides will lead the hikes to the best viewpoints of the area. The hikes will start with a short bus ride to get to the trailheads. We will be hiking for 2-5 hours and on some of the days you will enjoy your picnic lunch en-route. This trip is ideal for those who want a few hours daily walks, some easy while others are more demanding as the ascents and descents are bigger. But all in all this is a tour suitable for everbody with some walking experience in terrain.

The terrain: On this tour you will meet a great variety of terrains, from gravel roads to narrow mountain paths and partly uneven pastures and fields.

A full day by day itinerary will be provided by the tour operator when you make an enquiry about this holiday.
