You will probably see forest specials like Black-fronted Bush Shrike, Orange Ground Thrush, Green Twinspot, Narina Trogon, Bat Hawk and Cape Parrot.
The birding on Kurisa Moya Nature Lodge is superb, with unusual species such as the Narina Trogon, the Buff-spotted Flufftail, the Black-fronted Bush Shrike, the Green Twinspot and the Knysna Turaco, to name but a few.

Day 01. Depart JHB at NOON & drive for 3-4 hours to the magnificent Magoebaskloof, where we stay in a beautiful farmhouse hidden in an indigenous forest. All rooms are en suite. Watch the many little twitters come to drink whilst sipping our sundowners!! Dinner will be served around the oak table. Overnight: Farmhouse DB&B
Day 02. Today we cycle through forests down the very scenic Woodbush Drive to the Debengeni Waterfalls, here we rack our bikes & have a light lunch at the Falls. An afternoon birding session in the forest is an option, or relax on the patio with your binoculars. Dinner will be a braai this evening. Distance: 30kms. Degree of difficulty 5/10. Overnight: Farmhouse DBB&L
Day 03. A 2 -3 hour birding walk with a top local bird guide, or cycle, in the spectacular indigenous forest dotted with rare Yellow-woods and giant Cassonias, revives the soul. Walking on the forest trails offers absolute tranquility in this ancient habitat. Have a late brunch & sadly depart for home.
