Itinerary
Day 01. ARRIVE PARO - Tour representatives will greet you upon arrival at Paro Airport (7,000ft), transfer to Thimphu, through the beautiful valleys of Paro to the Thimphu. Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan, where most of the modern facilities are still not reached; some say that Thimphu is only capital in the world without the computerized tariff lighting system. Check in the Hotel, evening scroll down town. O/N Hotel
Day 02. THIMPHU – WANGDI - Early Morning Drive to Wangdi via the Dochula pass at 3200m, you have great views of the Eastern Himalayan range weather permitting. There are also 108 stupas built by the queen for the well being of the country. Straight way transfer to festival ground to witnesses the 2nd day festival at Wangdiphodrang Dzong, where the different type’s dances were preformed by monks. Evening at walking around the Wangdi town. O/N Hotel
Day 03. WANDGI – THIMPHU - Early morning attend the Thongdrols ceremony the ending ceremony of Tshechu then transfer to Thimphu. At Thimphu visit memorial Chorten built in the memory of Lt. His Majesty the King by Royal Queen Mother, visit Changangkha Lhakhang, Motithang mini Zoo to see the National animal the Takin. Drive down to viewpoint from where you have magnificent view of Thimphu valley; visit National Library to see the large collection of traditional books, Folk Heritage museum where you can see the typical Bhutanese house and their way lifestyle. Evening at leisure. O/N Hotel
Day 04. THIMPHU Festival - Early morning transfer to festival ground at Tashichhodzong, whole day witnesses the 2nd day festival. Afternoon visit Bhutanese hand made paper factory and scroll down the market visiting different handicraft shop etc. O/N Hotel
Day 05. THIMPHU – PARO - Morning attend the closing ceremony of Tshechu with Throngdrol and after lunch transfer to Paro. At Paro visiting National Museum and Dungste Lhakhang. O/N Hotel
Day 06. PARO Sightseeing - Morning hike to Taktsang monastery and on the way back visit the ruins of Drugyel Dzong. This Dzong is of historical importance, from whose ramparts the Bhutanese repelled Tibetan invaders. On a clear day one can view the sacred Mount Chhomolari, Mountain of Goddess (24,000 ft). And also visit Kyichu Monastery and Paro dzong. O/N Same.
