Itinerary
Day 01. Arrival Beijing - Clients fly into Beijing. Upon arrival, be greeted by our Beijing local guide at airport. The guide will hold your name sign meeting you at the arrival hall exit. Then, drive 45 minutes to the hotel for check-in. Overnight the Bamboo Garden Hotel
Day 02. Jingshan Park, the Forbidden City, Hutong Tour - This morning, we drive to Jingshan Park in the morning. Jingshan Park is located north to the Forbidden City, where you can take a bird’s view of the Forbidden City. There are also many people do morning exercise in the park, fan dancing, Taichi practicing, etc…Then, we walk to the north gate of the Forbidden City and visit the emperor’s palace from Ming Dynasty. After Yunan food lunch, we take a biking tour in the Hutong area, visit a local family, where we also learn how to make dumpling. Then climb up to the Durm Tower to see the drum show. On our way to the hotel, we have Peking Roasted Duck Dinner, the local delicacy of Beijing. Overnight Bamboo Garden Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 03. The Summer Palace, Olympic Venus, Kite flying, Acrobatics Show - This morning, we drive to visit the Summer Palace. Summer Palace is a large area and is epitomizing the philosophy and practice of Chinese garden design, has been playing a key role in the development of this cultural form throughout the East. Have lunch at Xibei Youmian restaurant, an authentic northwestern Chinese style restaurant. Take a stop by the Olympic Venus for photo. The Two main stadiums are the Water Cube and Bird’s Nest are really beautiful. It is also a big area, the kids can fly kite in the center. Tonight, we are going to enjoy the acrobatics show after our Hunan Food dinner. Before we are going to enjoy Acrobatics Show. Overnight Bamboo Garden Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 04. Beijing to Countryside - This morning, after breakfast in the hotel, we check out and drive 2.5 hours to the small village named Xizhazi by the Great Wall in Huairou County. When we get to the village, we will visit a local family in the village. After countryside lunch, we can help the family do some farming. If you are not so interested in farming and the kids can do some hiking, we can f the kids can climb up, we will take a short hike up to Jiankou Great Wall.In late afternoon, we drive back Huairou. En Route, we will take a stop to pick up fruit if it is in right season. Tonight, we are going to have Sichuan food dinner. Overnight Shuangyang Hotel
Day 05. Mutianyu Great Wall, Temple of Heaven This morning, we drive about half an hour from the town to Mutianyu Great Wall, which is one of the most beautiful and much lesser crowded Great Wall in Beijing. On the wall, we could walk around about 1 or 2 hours depending on our timing before we take toboggan down to the parking lot. We are going to have lunch in a restaurant nearby before we drive back Beijing for the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors used to sacrifice to the heaven, praying for good harvest of the Middle Kingdoms. Tonight, we are going to have hotpot dinner before we come to enjoy the Kongfu Show in a theater nearby. Overnight the Emperor (B, L, D)
Day 06. Capital Museum, NCPA, Calligraphy Learning This morning, after breakfast in the hotel, we drive about 15-20 minutes to Capital Museum from our hotel. Capital Museum is one of the best Museums in China, worth a whole morning to visit. After the Capital Museum, we are going to have Cantonese dimsum. In the afternoon, we will visit NCPA, National Center for Performing Arts, the best theater in China so far. In late afternoon, we are going to have a short calligraphy learning lesson. Day 07. Depart Beijing Enjoy your free time to explore around before our guide comes to meet you up in the lobby of the hotel. Your fly home. Trip ends. (B)
