| AKAKUS : Full days spent deep in fabulous landscapes of rock and sand going through Addad, Awiss, Teschuinat and Fozzigiarein where we find the famous big arch. Sightseeing the unique prehistorically rock paintings and carvings: evidence that this once upon a time, from 10.000 to 4.000 years ago, was a green region, with various fauna and with various human settlement. Only 4000 years ago the weather changed and little by little the rivers and the lakes became dry and the sand advanced.Now in Akakus leave only some Touareg families that maintain their uses of nomad tribes and is not difficult to meet them and their animals all around. Passing through Uan Kasa yellow sand dunes, Messak Mellet extent of white stones and Messak Settafet, immense extent of sharpened black stones, and we arrive to visit the beautiful prehistorically rock carving open air of Wadi Matkandush representing animals living in Sahara about 10,000 years ago. | LAKES REGION - TRIPOLI : In the morning inside the Oubari sand sea, up and down the ocean of dunes, we will arrive to the beautiful Douada region: an area dotted of palmes and salted lakes with shining water were are mirrored the dunes around.
