Tour Highlights

Golden Circle tour: This is a ‘must’ when coming to Iceland! We set off at 9 in the morning along to Thingvellir National Park where we stop for 30-40 min. and enjoy pretty nature and the history of Iceland. Most of Iceland’s major events have been celebrated in Thingvellir. This is also the site where the plate tectonics are separating so from a geological point of view it is an amazing site. From there we drive to a small village, which is a popular holiday resort with a geothermal area. Then we will head to Geysir geothermal area, watch spouting hot-springs and hot mud-pools, stop for about 45 minutes. After that we drive over to the magnificent Golden Waterfall. Then Skalholt will be on our way, this area used to be the capital of Iceland for 740 years, center of culture and scholars. On our way is the town of Hveragerdi. This is the largest area with greenhouses in Iceland, all of them heated with geothermal water. Back to Reykjavik around 4-5 in the afternoon.

he peninsula of Snaefell is very interesting. Various things are on our way like blowholes in the ground where the sea blow through and birds like to nest. We’ll walk into a gorge, a cave called Songcave and see where people lived off the land for years. The glacier on this peninsula is know for its magical energy-giving power. Accommodation in a small town called Stykkisholmur.
