Itinerary
Day 01. Depart OR Tambo International Airport and drive to Waterberg, visit Nylsvlei which is the wetland of international significant in terms of the Ramsar Conservation and considered one of the top birding sites in Southern Africa boasting species list of approximately 400 birds. Dinner and overnight at a lodge
Day 02. Enjoy morning game viewing. After breakfast proceeds to Capricorn District via Mokopane. Guided tour at Arend Dieperenk the museum with the focus on the history of Potgietersrus and surroundings (the pioneer in the former Northern Transvaal as well as agricultural objects. Lunch at a restaurant in Mokopane. Enter Mokopane Nature Reserve for a tour. Depart Mokopane and travel to Polokwane and view lions at the Ranch Game Park. Check in at the lodge, refresh and relax. Afternoon game viewing at Polokwane Game Reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 03. After breakfast, a visit to Polokwane Civic Center and the Irish House Museum. Then travel to Bakone Malapa Open-Air Museum. Enjoy the Magoebaskloof scenic drive on the way Modjadji Royal Kraal via Limpopo University and the ZCC Church. Learn about the dynasty of the Rain Queen. View the tallest cycad trees in the world at Modjadji Cycad Reserve and also view the African Ivory Route camp and the Sunland baobab tree ( This baobab tree has a bar inside that can take up to 10 people inside) Lunch at Tzaneen and proceed to Phalaborwa. Visit Amarula Lapa, the home of Amarula Liquor. Visit Phalaborwa Mining Company to view the widest open cast mine considered to be the widest man made hole in Africa. Experience an exciting spotlight safari during evening game drive in the Kruger National Park dinner in the park (Bush Braai) and overnight at Boikhutsong.
Day 04. Morning walk, armed and experienced nature guide will introduce you to a number of skills, including tracking, plants, birds, animal behavior as well as identification and also have bush breakfast while viewing wildlife roaming freely in the park. Afternoon game drive followed by lunch at Olifants Camp at restaurant overlooking the Olifants River. Dinner and overnight at Satara camp.
Day 05. Morning game drives and exit KNP through Orpen Gate
