Itinerary
Day 01. Arrive to Cracow, transfer from the airport to the accommodation, free to explore historical center, Wawel Castle and Jewish quarter - Kazimierz. Overnight in Hotel Polonia, Cracow. Transfers: Airport – Cracow downtown: 20km, 30 minute
Day 02. In the late morning we will head to Wieliczka - the largest salt mine in Europe with enormous underground spaces. After the visit we will go to Niedzica castle on the Slovak/Polish border. Optional visit of Czorsztyn castle or hike to the Tri Koruny peak. Overnight in Niedzica castle. Program: Salt mine Wieliczka – 4 hours. Tri Koruny hike – 4 hours (optional). Czorsztyn castle and sailing – 2 hours (optional). Transfers: Cracow downtown – Salt mine Wieliczka: 20km, 30 minutes. Wieliczka – Niedzica: 110km, 1,5 hours. Meals: breakfast
Day 03. In the morning we will do some traditional wooden rafts journey from Cerveny Klastor to Lesnica (12km). In the past this was the way to transport wood from the mountains. After that we will cycle back to Cerveny Klastor, visiting the Red Monastery. In the late afternoon we will drive to Nova Lesna in High Tatras national park. Overnight in pension, Nova Lesna. Program: Rafting – 2 hours. Cycling – 1,5 hour. The Red Monastery – 1,5 hours. Transfers: Niedzica – Cerveny Klastor: 10km, 15 minutes. Cerveny Klastor – Nova Lesna: 50km, 1 hour. Meals: breakfast
Day 04. After breakfast we will head to the stunning gorges of Slovak Paradise National Park, guided hike will take us through the Sucha Bela gorge to Klastorisko (ruins of an old settlement) and we will be passing Prielom Hornadu on the way back to Podlesok. Overnight in Nova Lesna, pension. Program: Hiking: 15km 6 hours. Transfers: Nova Lesna - Podlesok: 20km, 20 minutes. Podlesok - Nova Lesna: 20km, 20 minutes Meals: breakfast.
Day 05. A leisurely day offering the chance of wellness treatment in Aquacity resort, exploring city of Poprad and its surroundings, panoramic flight over Tatras mountains, paragliding, etc. Overnight in pension Crystal Ski, Nova Lesna. Program: optional. Transfers: optional. Meals: breakfast.
Day 06. In the morning we will head to Low Tatras National Park, where we will be rafting on the river Cierny Vah. We will use inflatable multi-seated boats with instructor guidance. That will take us through beautiful parts of the river, rich in wildlife, inaccessible from the land. After lunch you will take some climbing lessons. You will learn to tie a rope, climb according to various difficulty levels, to abseil and secure the rope. You will always be accompanied by an instructor. For those who don’t want to climb, we offer the option of horse riding. Overnight in Grand Castle, Liptovsky Hradok. Program: Rafting on the river Cierny Vah: 3 hours. Climbing school: 3 hours. Horse riding: 3 hours. Transfers: Nova Lesna – rafting starting point: 50km 40minutes, rafting end point – climbing: 10km, 10 minutes, climbing – Grand Castle: 10km, 10 minutes. Meals: breakfast
Day 07. Today we’ll visit to one of the wildest areas in central Europe. We will cycle through Ticha valley in western Tatras and walk the last bit into the saddle. This area has a rich population of brown bears, endangered chamoix, marmot, wolves and lot of other animals and birds. In the late afternoon we will have a chance to see some of this animals from a safe distance. Average level of fitness is required. Overnight in Grand Castle, Liptovsky Hradok. Program: Mountain biking (30km), hiking (6km) – 10 hours. Transfers: Liptovsky Hradok - Podbanske: 20km, 20 minutes. Podbanske - Liptovsky Hradok: 20km, 20 minutes. Meals: breakfast
Day 08. Transfer to the Cracow airport. Transfers: Liptovsky Hradok – Cracow airport: 250km, 3,5 hours. Meals: breakfast
