The highlands of north-west Vietnam are real hiking territory. You can get out among the hill tribe villages and meet the various ethnic minorities. The Mai Chau valley is one good starting point. From here you can trek to H'mong minority villages such as Sa Linh, then on through tropical rain forest, using the local tracks to reach the Thai area where you can spend the night in a typical Thai stilt house. Next, you can walk on towards Mai Chau town which is surrounded by picturesque Thai villages.

- Cruise on Black river by local boat.
- Hill tribes - visit some villages of ethnic Black H'mong and discover the daily life and custom of local inhabitants here, especially you can enjoy the local specialties: Ta Sua Tea and agriculture products then come back the mountain town for having lunch. After having lunch, visit the local market, the handicraft and farming products made by many ethnics are available here.
- Stay overnight in house on stilts in a local village - You can discover the daily life activities of this village in particular and the Thai ethnic in general in Vietnam.
