The Lot and Dordogne's quiet and peaceful countryside is steeped in ancient and medieval history which you can witness at every turn, in its beautiful 12th century bastide towns, magnificent hilltop chateaux and amazing pre-historic grottes with their ancient cave paintings and fantastic geological structures.

We are centre based – but we drop off and pick up at the end of each day with a minibus/trailer. You stay at our country home for the whole tour with gourmet standard food and wine. No need to pack a suitcase every day. Return to your en-suite room and enjoy a fabulous 4-course menu each evening.

We have converted the beautiful 18th century barn, which stands at the edge of the pretty courtyard, into very comfortable accommodation for up to 10 people.
You will stay in one of the 5 light and airy double bedrooms which are all decorated in an individual fresh country style and have very smart en-suite shower rooms.

An typical day on the tour: You'll cycle quiet country roads through a series of pretty villages and past an ancient abbey, following a stream valley into pretty Grolejac where you can stop for coffee and a delicious pastry. From here you'll turn eastwards to follow the River Dordogne along to the pretty villages of Veyrignac and St Julien de Lampon. Then you'll cross the river and cycle into the town of Souillac with it's many cafes, restaurants, galleries and boutiques.
